Communications with Intention & Purpose, Building Communities of Influence & Impact

Erin Hunt Moore is a passionate communicator, community builder and committed champion of social impact and the leaders at the forefront of change. For nearly 25 years, she has worked as a public relations and marketing strategist across industries and from the dual perspectives of in-house strategic corporate communications leadership and the creative, collaborative environment of public relations agencies. An expert in building strong consumer brands and supporting thought leaders, Erin is a veteran of the food and beverage world, but with experience spanning a range of industries and areas of focus, including diversity marketing and PR, cause-driven and non-profit initiatives, travel and hospitality; health and wellness; a sustainable, eco-friendly consumer lifestyle; technology; education, and more.

Being a champion for change and impact has always been a priority for Erin. While in Boston, she honed her skills with award-winning CPC Global, one of the country’s first agencies dedicated to diversity marketing and PR, led by acclaimed DEI leader and champion, Colette Phillips. While there, she helped run diversity leadership, educational initiatives and community-driven campaigns with clients such as Reebok, Bank of America, the Congressional Black Caucus, the YWCA and the Boston Chamber of Commerce. At the same time, she channeled her passion for good, clean, fair food and sustainability into volunteer leadership, co-founding the Boston Chapter of Slow Food USA. When a career opportunity led her to New York City to spearhead PR and Events for San Pellegrino, she dove into opportunities to support female chefs and emerging leaders in the national culinary community, while growing her involvement with Slow Food initiatives. A recruitment to New York’s Euro RSCG Magnet provided Erin with the opportunity to manage Fortune 500 clients and multi-million dollar initiatives for food and beverage clients, which was a tremendous professional experience. But her heart was in the purpose space and she found herself gravitating toward cause-focused and mission-driven campaigns for her clients and work with a number of remaining boutique, family-run companies dedicated to high-quality, sustainable production. When the agency downsized, she followed a calling back west. Returning to her California roots, she stepped out of her busy PR world and plunged her hands in the earth, vines and juice for a self-created, three-month cellar and winemaking “boot camp” with a family-owned, sustainably-farmed winery in Sonoma County. The experience reinforced her passion for good stewardship and respect for Mother Nature and the craftsmen and women who prioritized both while creating something beautiful to share. Her experience sent her on a path to launch her own PR venture dedicated to food, beverage and hospitality brands, restaurateurs and chefs, who were in alignment with an ethos of quality with intention and connection - with the land, their purveyor and producer partners, their communities and industries. As an entrepreneur and woman working in male-dominant industries, she found joy and motivation in building communities to support women business owners and fellow industry professionals, including a 500-member network and resource for women entrepreneurs in Sonoma County called The Launch Collective SoCo.

Covid was not an easy time for most. And the food, beverage and hospitality industries were hit particularly hard. While supporting clients in making necessary business shifts, Erin used this time to reflect on her own purpose and ways to deepen her commitment to positive impact and change. An opportunity to publish her writing led her to focus on penning profiles of powerful changemakers and leaders, especially women for San Francisco-based magazine, Haute Living San Francisco and the thought leadership-focused digital outlet, Authority Magazine.

Speaking with a myriad of women impact leaders and those at the forefront of purpose-driven business, and having the opportunity to amplify their stories and visions, was not only inspiring, it solidified for Erin her next steps. Her strategic PR venture, Verdant PR & Marketing, became a hub for very intentional impact-driven communications, thought leadership, strategic campaign development and community-building for purpose-driven brands, companies, movements and their leaders, with a special interest in supporting women. From a base in Sonoma wine country and in partnership with a collective of equally passionate strategic branding, communications and creative professionals from around the country, Erin works to bolster, amplify and accelerate her clients’ success and greater impact.
